The season for Cross Country is from Mid August thru the November Turkey Trot. The season may be longer for those athletes wanting to compete in the Junior Olympics. The regular competitions range from local road races to races with just age group competitors. A Cross Country Membership to the SCTC is $35.00. It includes a club T-shirt and over three months of coaching at practice and races. Recommended ages to join the SCTC youth club are from 9 to 18 years. Younger than 9 will need a parent or sibling nearby, older than 14 is great for those kids in home school.

The USA Track and Field is a governing body of track and field in the US. For kids to compete in many of the races, they must have a USATF card. The card is $15.00 and proves the childs age. When you sign up for this card, and many times there will be a USATF representative at the races, you will need a birth certificate, Santa Cruz Track Club #0137, and know that we are located in the Pacific Region in CA. Here is a link that takes you directly to the form you would need to fill out and send in.

When going to track meets to the north of us, we will arrange a time and meet at the Pasatiempo exit on highway 17.

When going to track meets to the south, we will arrange a time and meet at the Soquel High School lower parking lot.

If your athlete needs a ride to and from practice or a track meet, please let Andrea know and a e-mail notice for help will be sent.
